About
- The Entrain Method (TEM) is a training and certification system created by Dr John Surie. It is offered through [Entity Name] Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong (the "Company").
- The Entrain Method offers in-person retreats, a 12-month practitioner certification pathway, and online learning programs. Participation in any Entrain Method offering is governed by these terms together with the specific enrolment agreement that applies to each program.
Application and Enrollment
- Entrain Method programs are application-based. Enrolment proceeds through application, a discovery call where appropriate, and acceptance of the program-specific enrolment agreement and these terms.
- The Company reserves the right to decline any application at its discretion. Where an application is declined before payment, no fee is owed. Where an application is declined after a deposit has been paid for any reason other than the applicant's conduct or breach, the deposit will be refunded in full.
- Your place is confirmed only on receipt of the deposit and written acceptance of the enrolment agreement.
Pricing, Deposit, Payment
- All program fees are quoted and payable in United States Dollars (USD).
- A non-refundable deposit of USD $1,500 is required to hold a place in the Level I Practitioner Training. The deposit is applied against the total program fee.
- Final payment is due no later than 45 days before the program start date. Payment plans are available through approved third-party providers (such as Afterpay) where eligible. Currency conversion fees, bank fees, and surcharges charged by your financial institution are your responsibility.
- Detailed payment terms for each program, including any applicable instalment structure and final payment deadlines, are set out in the program enrolment agreement provided after application.
Cooling Off Period
- A seven (7) day cooling-off period applies from the date of your first payment toward an Entrain Method program. During this period you may cancel your enrolment.
- Cancellations within the cooling-off period are subject to a 5% processing fee, calculated on monies received to date and deducted from the refunded amount. The non-refundable deposit is retained.
- After the cooling-off period, no cash refunds are available. See the rescheduling and transfer terms below.
Rescheduling and Transfers
- Where you are unable to attend the retreat on the dates for which you have enrolled, the following applies:
- Notice 60 or more days before the start date: You may transfer your enrolment to the same retreat taking place within twelve (12) months of the original start date, at no transfer fee.
- Notice 30 to 60 days before the start date: A 30% transfer fee applies, deducted from total monies paid.
- Notice less than 30 days before the start date: The position is forfeited and is not eligible for transfer or refund.
-
Any difference in pricing between the original and rescheduled retreat (for example, if you transfer from an early-bird rate to a full-price cohort) is your responsibility. Final payment for the rescheduled retreat is due no less than 10 days before the new start date.
- Tickets are transferable to a qualified substitute. The substitute must apply through the standard application process and be approved by Dr Surie. Approval is at sole discretion. An administration fee applies to ticket transfers and is advised at the time of request.

Health, Safety and the Nature of the Work
- PThe Entrain Method is an educational training program. It integrates structural, fascial, somatic, breath-based, and consciousness-based practices. It is not medical treatment, psychological treatment, or psychiatric treatment.
- The Entrain Method does not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, condition, or disease process. Nothing taught in the program is intended as a substitute for the advice of your treating medical or mental health practitioner.
- By enrolling, you confirm that you are medically and psychologically fit to participate, that you have disclosed all relevant health conditions, injuries, surgeries, medications, and psychological circumstances at the time of enrolment, and that you take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing throughout the program. You agree to inform a facilitator promptly of any change in your health that may affect your participation.
- Somatic, breath-based, and consciousness-based practices can produce strong physical, emotional, or psychological responses. By enrolling, you acknowledge this possibility and accept it as part of the work.
Conduct and Confidentiality
- Participants agree to engage respectfully with fellow participants, facilitators, and venue staff, to abide by venue rules and local law, and to refrain from discriminatory, harassing, abusive, or unsafe behaviour.
- The training is a confidential learning environment. Personal stories, disclosures, emotional content, and experiences shared by other participants must not be discussed, posted about, or published outside the program in any form, during or after the retreat.
- The Company reserves the right to remove from the program any participant whose conduct is, in its reasonable judgement, disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the standards of the program. No refund is payable in the event of removal for conduct.
Certification Pathway
- The 12-Month Practitioner Certification Pathway is sold as a single integrated product. The retreat itself is not graded; certification proceeds through a structured 12-month process following the in-person training.
- Participants who do not meet certification requirements within the 12-month period are not certified. Assessments may be retaken as many times as needed within twelve (12) months from the original assessment date at no additional charge.
- No refund or partial refund is available for non-certification, regardless of cause. The retreat experience itself remains delivered in full whether or not certification is completed.
- Full details of certification standards, requirements, and the practitioner pathway are set out at:

Practitioner Code and Ongoing Registration
- Certified practitioners are bound by The Entrain Method Practitioner Code, which governs professional conduct, scope of practice, client care, confidentiality, and the use of The Entrain Method name and materials. Full details of the Practitioner Code are set out on the certification page linked above.
- Annual renewal is required to remain a Registered Entrain Method Practitioner. The Company reserves the right to suspend or revoke certification for breach of the Practitioner Code, conduct that brings The Entrain Method into disrepute, or any conduct inconsistent with the standards of a Registered Entrain Method Practitioner.
- Where certification lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, the practitioner must cease use of The Entrain Method name, marks, materials, and registered practitioner designation, and remove all such references from public-facing materials within 30 days.
Intellectual Property
- The Entrain Method, including its name, methodology, frameworks, curriculum, training materials, workbooks, slide decks, recordings, illustrations, visual assets, branding, terminology, sequences, and protocols, is the sole and exclusive intellectual property of Dr John Surie and the Company.
- By participating in a program, you receive access to learn from and engage with this material for your own development. You acquire no ownership interest in any aspect of The Entrain Method.
- Without prior written permission, you must not reproduce, distribute, publish, resell, sublicense, teach, train, certify, modify, derive from, repackage, or otherwise commercially exploit Entrain Method materials or methodology. You must not use the Entrain Method name or marks in any business name, trading entity, domain name, social media handle, or course title.
- Certified practitioners with current annual registration receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to practise The Entrain Method with their own clients and to represent themselves as a Registered Entrain Method Practitioner, subject to the Practitioner Code and the brand and usage guidelines provided.
Photography, Video and Recordings
- Photography and video are taken during retreats and online programs for educational, training, and promotional purposes, including marketing, social media, and program materials. By enrolling, you consent to incidental capture of your image and voice in these recordings.
- If you do not wish to be included in promotional material, you must notify the Company in writing before the start of the program. Reasonable steps will be taken to honour the request, though incidental capture in group settings cannot always be avoided.
- Recording of training sessions by participants (audio, video, or photography) is not permitted without prior written consent. Written notes for personal learning are permitted.
Online Programs and Digital Content
- Access to online programs is granted on payment in accordance with the program's specific terms. No refunds are available for online programs or digital content once access has been granted.
- Digital content provided through online programs is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not download, copy, reproduce, distribute, or share program content with any third party.
Program changes and cancellations by the Company
- The Company reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to program schedules, content, facilitators, format, or venue, provided the overall integrity and value of the program is maintained.
- Where the Company cancels a program for reasons within its reasonable control, participants will be offered a transfer to the next available cohort or, at the Company's discretion, a refund of fees paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit). The Company is not liable for any other costs incurred, including flights, accommodation, visas, or insurance.
- The Company is not liable for cancellation, postponement, or modification of a program due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, travel bans, civil unrest, venue closure, or acts of God. In such circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule and transfer enrolments to the rescheduled cohort.
